President Berdymuhamedov of Turkmenistan will leave for official visit to China later this month.
His visit is scheduled for 16-18 July 2007.
The announcement came Monday during a meeting of the cabinet of ministers.
Berdymuhamedov told the cabinet meeting that his China visit would help strengthen bilateral visit relations. The visit is also aimed at accelerating some specific projects, first of all the delivery of natural gas to China, he underlined.
Turkmenistan and China are planning a gas pipeline that is supposed to come into operation in January 2009.
