A sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers

On August 2, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov chaired a sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers to consider the priority issues of national development and social and economic programs implemented in Turkmenistan. The heads of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Water Industry, the Central Bank and newly established structure - Supreme Chamber of Inspection of Turkmenistan took part in the sitting.

Opening the sitting and emphasizing the significance of the agenda items the President stated that the preliminary results of the national social and economic development in the first half of 2007 would be considered at the meeting. Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov said that they would discuss the work done in the period more thoroughly at an enlarged sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers to be held next week.
