Turkmen President pardons 11 people

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a decree pardoning and releasing a number of people sentenced to imprisonment.

As the Ashgabat correspondent of Turkmenistan.ru reports referring to the press service of the head of state, the Turkmen leader pardoned 11 people sentenced to many years of imprisonment “taking into account numerous appeals of citizens to the State commission on consideration of appeals of citizens on activities of law enforcing agencies at the President of Turkmenistan and for the purpose of further strengthening the unity and wellbeing in each family”.

The decree was published in the central newspapers of Turkmenistan.
