New mini-cutters for fishermen from Esenguly

The large-scale renovation of small fleet and funds of the Fish Industry State Committee is under continuation. The contracts for purchasing 20 new «Wellbot» mini-cutters, fishing nets and tacking materials and the other necessary equipment were concluded with famous foreign companies Amanullah General Trading LLC, United Arab Emirates and Larmor Productions LTD, Virgin Islands.

New equipment is to be delivered to Turkmenistan in February, 2008. Mini-cutters to be constructed in accordance with the project developed by Turkmenistan’s order are remarkable for high features, manoeuvrability, durability and safety. Cutters 6.5 meters long and 2.5 meters wide, with the carrying capacity of 600 kg and engine power of 150 horse-powers reach a speed of 70 km an hour. Wellbot designed for 6 places is supplied with modern equipment that enables to put to sea in any season. Within the framework of another contract fishermen will by supplied with modern fishing gears, catch keeping containers and waterproof clothing.

Modernization of the small fleet and purchase of equipment is carried out at the expense of the fishing industry. This March 20 modern boats were delivered to the Esenguly Etrap. At present the Balkanbalyk State Enterprise establishes new fishing subdivisions and creates new jobs.

Implementation of new projects is an important stage of the large-scale program on complex development of the littoral region. The projects include construction of modern production fish-processing complex in Esenguly. Along with the complex on caviar production and artificial culture of sturgeon under construction in Kiyanly new enterprise will enable to supply seafoods to the Turkmen market and promote further successful development of the producing and processing fishing industry of the country.
